BUTTE VIEW KENNELS

BUTTE VIEW KENNELS is nestled in California's northern Sacramento Valley overlooking the small mountain range of the Sutter Buttes. The husband and wife team of John Poyner and Becky Van Kleeck deal with three breeds of dogs with professional and loving care. Happy and healthy dogs are the name of the game at this home of champions. Always striving to improve each breed to the AKC standards, the breeding program is carefully planned.

Becky

Becky has been involved with showing and breeding dogs since 1980. She has handled several different breeds of dogs toward their American championships, including showing at national breed competitions and the Eukanuba Invitational. She is in charge of grooming and training for the conformation ring. She is also in charge the whelping of pups born at Butte View Kennels.

John

John joined the dog business in 1991. He is in charge of the noise and wing training for the hunting pups and continues with field training of the sporting dogs staying at Butte View Kennels. This would include taking them to hunt test competitions and hunting for wild bird at local clubs and ranches that Northern CA has to offer. He occasionally, but rarely, enters the show ring, but does assist Becky at shows regularly.
